Seven days in Waterford
Waterford is one of the best destinations to go to in the southeast of Ireland Waterford is the country’s oldest city it has a rich Viking heritage. There are several museums In the Viking Triangle you can visit including House of Waterford Crystal. Some of the museums include the Bishops palace, Medieval Museum and Reginald’s tower. There are a range of shops in Waterford to
pick from when shopping including the city centre shopping centre where there are a range of shops and restaurants. Near Waterford city there is Tramore where there is Tramore Beach it also has the Japanese gardens and the Doneraile where you can have a great view of the beach. Near Tramore there is the Coppercoast which is a stretch of the coastline and beaches which are well worth a visit. Waterford Greenway is a hiking and cycling track on the old Waterford to Dungarvan railway line where there are several places to access it. The Suggested itinerary if you are staying in Waterford is the following.

Day 1
The following is a list of things to do in Waterford city and county after arriving in Waterford I would check in first where you ar staying after finishing checking inn. After finishing checking in I would begin with a visit to the Viking triangle and visit Reginald tower, Medieval Museum and Bishops Palace.
Reginald tower
Is a historic landmark and one of the most iconic buildings in Waterford located in the Viking Triangle it is Irelands oldest civic building. It dates to the 13th century and stands on the site of wooden structure believed to be built by Vikings in the 10th century. The medieval tower was part of the defensive walls served as a mint and royal residence. There are two sets of stairs in the tower I would suggest starting up at the top and working your way down on the top floor there is a Video on the history at the top floor there are also exhibits on the two floors which shows artefacts from the Viking era.
Medieveal Museum
located in Viking triangle which has exhibits and artefacts there is a immersive journey through the Viking period that dates back centuries highlights. Include 13th-century Choristers’ Hall the oldest surviving structure in Waterford, and the Cloth of Gold vestments.
Bishops palace
Georgian building which goes back to 1743 and is part of Waterford Treasures museum offers a view of the rich history of the museum with a look on the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. The palace is of Georgian architecture guided tours are available.

Day 2
Waterford Nature Park
Went to Waterford Nature park beside the Tramore Road which is a 2km walkway and has a series of other walkways in the park which has tarmacadam and mown paths. There are a selection of paths to choose from when you are up at the top of the nature park there are wonderful views of Waterford City.

Waterford Crystal
world renowned brand known for crystal products founded in 1783 established reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and designs associated with luxury and sophistication there is a tour available which is the factory tour.
shopping Waterford
there is a fantastic shopping experience where there is a mixture of shops which include boutiques, cafes, independent shops and restaurants there is also a shopping centre right in the centre of Waterford called city square there are shops which include fashion, health, beauty, wellness, homewares, kids, tech, and book shops there are also places to eat on the second floor.
Day 3
Copper Coast
The Coppercoast is a stretch of the coastline that has breath-taking scenery this includes rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and geological history. Coppercoast is a UNESCO global geopark it is 25 kilometres long there are popular spots which include hiking, cycling, and exploring sea caves. When we driving from Tramore to the Coppercoast visited several beaches

Kilfarassy which is a beach that have stunning views of the sea and rugged cliffs it is a popular places to visit for visitors. beach is ideal for walking, picnics and surfing. there is a carpark beside the beach. Annestown which is a small picturesque village with the beach located on the outside of the village it has a car park beside the beach you can go for a walk and surfers also frequent the beach Kilmurrin cove has unspoiled beauty and it is a charming beach a favourite with locals and tourists
after that Bunmahon beach which is a stunning coastline where there is breath-taking views of the Atlantic ocean perfect for walking, surfing, or relaxing by the sea

Day 4
Anne valley is a scenic area between Annestown and Dunhill there is a rich biodiversity a popular attraction in the region you can explore the picturesque landscape along Anne valley the eco friendly trail is about 5 kilometre long ideal for families cyclists and walkers there is a variety of wildlife that include swans herons and otters
there is also greenway with rivers and lakes

Day 5
Tramore Beach is 5km long where you can go for a swim or surf and if you have never surfed before there are places to get lessons. You can go for a walk down the prom or on the beach where if you walk on the beach you can go down to the sand dunes when finished after the walk you can get a drink of coffee or mineral in one of the shops

The Doneraile is a walkway where you can go for a walk which looks down on the beach there are plenty of seats to sit down along the walk and enjoy the scenic view that looks down on Tramore Beach and surrounding areas.

Day 6
Waterford Greenway
Waterford Greenway is an old railway line from Waterford City to Dungarvan which is a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail. Where you can walk or cycle a part of the greenway there are several sections of the greenway and there are several bridges. It runs from Waterford City to Dungarvan where it follows the route of the old railway line. There are stunning views of the countryside and coastal areas.

Day 7
Dunmore east
To finish off the holiday visit the fishing village where there is stunning coastal scenery popular destination for visitors where there are beaches rugged cliffs and a charming harbour there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. nearby is the Dunmore east adventure centre which offers a range of activities.
