Coppercoast Road Trip

The Coppercoast is an area of coastline that stretches for 25km there are wonderful places to visit along the scenic area of the coastline these include beaches and carparks where there are wonderful views of the coast and between Kilmurrin and Bunmahon there is an old mine called Tankardstown when travelling the Coppercoast you will need to bring your own picnic as there are no shops until you reach Bunmahon.

Garrus

Garrus Is not far from Tramore and is Quieter there is a carpark right beside the beach where you can go for a swim or walk when the tide is out there are some Fabolous views when you are walking the beach ideal for photos.

Kilfarassy

Kilfarassy It is a picturesque beach, rugged cliffs, and unspoiled natural beauty where when driving down to the carpark you will see an excellent view of the beach with an island in the centre of the sea. It is an excellent place to go for a walk and there are some good views. When walking on the beach you can go down past the rocks to view another beach but make sure you don’t get cut off when the tide is in there are some excellent places to get photos. The area is popular with locals and visitors alike for its tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for walking, swimming, and photography.

Tankardstown

Tankardstown this is an abandoned mine where you can see the mine and also across road the sea and scenery Tankardstown Mine is a historic mining site located near Bunmahon in County Waterford, Ireland. It is part of the Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark, an area renowned for its geological and industrial heritage. The mine was a significant centre for copper mining during the 19th century, with operations peaking between the 1820s and 1870s. The site features a well-preserved engine house, which once housed a Cornish beam engine used for pumping water out of the mine shafts.
